Yes. Booking and payment happen together at checkout — we use Stripe to handle your card securely. Your spot is held the moment your payment goes through.

Yes — and you can do it yourself right from the link in your confirmation email (or look up your booking at /manage). Cancel 48+ hours before your tour for a full refund; cancel 24–48 hours before for a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged the full rate. You can reschedule any time another slot is available.

See our full cancellation policy for details.

We recommend booking at least a few days ahead, especially on weekends and holidays. Same-day availability is sometimes possible.

Yes — email us at info@northernlakegeorgeboattours.com or call (518) 951-4773 and we'll work out the details. We're happy to put together something that fits your group.

Our boat seats up to 6 guests. All tours are a flat rate regardless of party size. For larger groups, please contact us to discuss options.

What to Expect

We pick up at the Hague Town Beach Park or the Hague Steamer Dock depending on the day. If you’re staying at the Trout House, we’ll pick you up right at their swim dock. Staying at an Airbnb or another private dock? We can usually pick you up there too — just choose “another dock” when you book. There’s no extra charge unless it’s well outside the Hague area, in which case we’ll confirm any travel fee with you first. See our meeting point page for maps and directions, and we’ll confirm your exact spot in your confirmation email.

On-property at the Trout House — we’ll pick you up at their swim dock, so no separate parking is needed.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a towel, and a light jacket or layers — the lake can be cooler than shore. A cooler is welcome (no larger than 40 quarts, and no styrofoam coolers, please) and you can bring food and beverages. We recommend soft-soled shoes.

Light rain usually doesn't stop us. Only Northern Lake George Boat Tours can cancel a tour due to bad weather — we wait until the time of your tour to make this decision, since weather in the mountains changes by the hour. If severe weather is an issue, you will receive a full refund.

Plan Your Visit

The Trouthouse is a great local option right in the area. For camping, Rogers Rock Campground is right on the lake and close to where we depart.

The Hague Market is a local favorite for picking up food before or after your tour.

Free public parking is available at the Hague Town Beach Park (9060 Lake Shore Dr) or the Hague Steamer Dock (18 Dock Rd) — whichever is your pickup point. Trout House guests park on-property. See our meeting point page for addresses and directions.

Hague is about 45 minutes north of Lake George Village and 30 minutes north of Bolton Landing. The drive is scenic and well worth it — the northern end of the lake is the most beautiful stretch.

Food, Drinks & Comfort

Absolutely! Feel free to bring a cooler with snacks, lunch, or beverages — no larger than 40 quarts, and no styrofoam coolers, please. We just ask that you clean up and take any trash with you.

Yes, adults are welcome to bring beer or wine. Please drink responsibly — your captain's priority is everyone's safety.

No, but restrooms are available at the boat launch. We recommend using them before departure.

Kids, Groups & Accessibility

Yes! We love having families aboard. Children of all ages are welcome, and we provide both adult and child life jackets.

Our boat is not pet friendly. We respectfully ask that you follow this policy.

Unfortunately, our boat is not wheelchair accessible due to the dock and boarding configuration. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Safety & Season

Absolutely. Our vessel meets all Coast Guard safety requirements and is fully equipped with life jackets, a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and all required safety gear. Your captain is licensed and experienced.

Our season runs from mid-May through mid-October, when Lake George is at its best.

Tips are never expected but always appreciated if you had a great time!
