Our Story

A family passion for sharing the beauty of northern Lake George

Born from a Love of the Lake

Amanda's grandparents built a summer camp in Hague in the 1940s, and she grew up spending summers on the northern end of Lake George. She's been behind a boat her whole life and knows every cove, swim spot, and island on this stretch of the lake.

Unlike the bustling southern basin, the northern reaches of Lake George remain remarkably pristine. The Adirondack mountains rise directly from crystal-clear waters, eagles soar overhead, and you can still find stretches of shoreline that look exactly as they did centuries ago.

Amanda started Northern Lake George Boat Tours to share the part of the lake that most visitors never see — not from a crowded cruise ship, but from an intimate, personal vantage point where every question gets answered and every hidden gem gets pointed out.

Why Northern Lake George?

Lake George is 32 miles long, and the northern miles are the best. Hague is about 30 minutes north of Bolton Landing and 45 minutes north of Lake George Village — and it's well worth the drive. Most rental boats can't even go past the Narrows, so a guided tour is the only practical way for visitors to see this stretch.

Up here, you'll find minimal commercial development — mostly seasonal homes, untouched coastline, and islands to explore. On weekend mornings, you might catch sailboat racing on the open water. The 700-foot cliff face of Rogers Rock and the hidden profile of Anthony's Nose are sights you won't find anywhere else on the lake.

Departing from Hague puts you right in the heart of it all, with quick access to the most stunning scenery the lake has to offer.

Clear blue-green water in a sheltered cove framed by pine-covered points
Rogers Slide, a massive 700-foot granite rock face rising straight out of Lake George — reachable only by boat
Looking north toward Rogers Rock, forested cliffs rising from the deep blue water
A small tree-covered island in the middle of the lake
Wooded islets scattered across the northern waters
Anthony's Nose, a forested cliff rising roughly 900 feet straight from the Narrows
Hague's town beach and boat launch, the American flag flying over docks and the lakeside hamlet
